Why Gen-Y Johnny Can't Read Nonverbal Cues by Mark Bauerlein

1. Juxtaposition
He argued that body language, facial expression and stock mannerisms function "in juxtaposition to words, " imparting feelings, attitudes, reactions and judgments in a different register.

Personal understanding: comparing one thing to another or next to eachother.

Sometimes I rather sleep in juxtaposition to going to work and school.

As a baby we use baby talk until we reach the idiom of speaking english.

Life's Backpack Reflection

My Life Backpack changes throughout the week depending on how busy my schedule is going to be due to work and school. My description of my backpack would still of course be cheetah print because it's fun just as life is but it would be much bigger. Most likely 10x bigger due to all the important and useless stuff I tend to carry around in my life. Because to my huge heart for others and their feelings towards me I tend to carry around people in my life that are otherwise known as negatives in my life who do not seem to benefit me and my goals. The most important item in my backpack would of course be my family and their love. Then my friends, school books, work, and my personal phone to contact people and express myself through social medias. Since this assignment I have realized that it would be very helpful for my back to go through each week and clean out and re organize my life so that more important things could add in and the others could vanish. Life is always so complicated and confusing sometimes I just wish there was some way I could close my eyes and just see a glimpse of my life 5-7 years from now. Thankfully I'm here now and I can only do what's best for my future because of how quickly life changes I'm content but there's somethings I tend to think about often. Life is precious and perfect the way it is now even though my backpack is a little heavy.
